Guest Artists

Guest Artists

Most monthly meetings include a presentation from a guest artist. We invite guest artists to share out about their artistic journey and present a demonstration or lead us through an exercise or short project.  Typically they will also bring some examples of their work to show and/or sell. If you are interested in being a guest artist, please email for more information!

2024 Guest Artists

January 2024-  We love to kick off the year with a good old ART SUPPLY SWAP! We had an awesome turnout of folks sharing and shopping gently used supplies.

This was our last meeting in the West Ashley Craft & Canvas location. We appreciate Stacy's hospitality and will miss the colorful, creative space!

February 2024 -  Our guest artist this month is fiber artist and creative reuse enthusiast Rachel Briggs. Check out her new venture, Second Life Supply, and the upcoming show in June!

This was our first meeting in the new Park Circle Community Building. Thanks to North Charleston Cultural Arts for letting us meet in this beautiful new space!

March 2024 -  Our guest this month is Hollis Church, the owner of Dega Catering, a catering service for music performers. Holly kept us entertained with delicious salads and stories from her time on the road feeding rockstars. We loved exploring food as ART for this meeting.

2023 Guest Artists

September 2023-  We had a great time last night painting rocks and enjoying each others' company. We decorated the rocks with art or text about the Guild so they can be hidden around town.

October 2023 -  Big thanks to James and the rest of the staff at Artist & Craftsman on King Street for another great guided tour experience. We love wrapping up the year with some shopping and exploration of the store, and then some tasty barbecue next door at Rodney Scott's!

November 2023 -  We were invited to pop up at the grand opening of the new Cultural Arts/City of North Charleston building in Park Circle! We had a great time exploring the new space and demo-ing wet felting, gel printing, and rug tufting. Check out this awesome rug that Ella Kokinda made!

June 2023- Wet felting with Pam Shanley of Fiber Finesse

Check out her work on Facebook and shop her goods at the Public Arts Work Center in the Carnes Crossroads Artist Cooperative store!

July 2023 - Block printing with Chris Dotson, winner of the North Charleston Arts Fest poster design for 2023.

Read more about him and see his work at

August 2023 - Abbey Wroten from the North Charleston Cultural Arts Department shared lots of opportunities for artists in the Lowcountry, including workshops, classes, gallery exhibits, and more.
